Valentines Day And The COVID-19 Pandemic

Every year people express their love for that special someone on Valentines day. There would be a special date between two people with dinner and excitement. A big tradition is when valentine cards are given to each other. An individual would give a box of chocolate to their love. This annual event doesn't really cost a lot compared to December Holidays. Valentine's day is celebrated even if you don't have a romantic partner.

In 2021, Valentine's day will be impacted by COVID-19 for the first time. There are stay at home order around the world forcing people to stay home. Countries that currently don't have stay at home orders don't have any recreational places open for dates to limit the spread of the coronavirus. You can't even go near anyone because you never know if someone is COVID-19 positive. This is going to be a very rough Valentine's day for people who want to do something romantic.

Despite COVID-19, there are ways that your Valentine's day could still be romantic and awesome. If you want to date someone who is not in your household, then you must self-isolate for 14 days, if you begin to have any symptoms then you shouldn't meet with the other person. You can give people Valentine cards by mail or email. If you are on a date with someone and you both passed 14 days of self-isolation, then you could get delivery food and watch a movie from home. If you didn't self isolate for 14 days and still want to have a date, then the only option would be a virtual video date.

Let's hope that this is going to be the only Valentine's day impacted by COVID-19.

Happy Valentine's Day

Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos Stepping Down As CEO

In 1994, Amazon was founded by Jeff Bezos as a company that sells books. As years went by, Amazon started to sell other items and created a faster delivery system. Amazon became one of the biggest retailers, it makes it very close to Walmart. After almost 30 years, Jeff Bezos, 57, is stepping down as CEO but will remain on the executive chair of the Amazon board. In 2018, he said that is most important work is going to be Blue Origin, which is an aerospace company. He is also one of the richest people in the world. The new CEO of Amazon will be Andy Jassy who is currently the chief executive of Amazon Web Services. It's common for business people to step down as CEO of companies they founded. Microsoft founder Bill Gates stepped down as CEO in 2000 and stepped down from Microsoft's board in 2020. Jeff Bezos won't be CEO anymore but he is not actually stepping away from Amazon, despite having other projects.

Stimulus Check Debit Cards Being Thrown Away

Just like the first wave of COVID-19, American are getting another stimulus check, but this time there has been some trouble. Americans are not getting the same amount they did during the first wave. The people are now going to get $600, instead of $1,200. The stimulus is now being sent as a debit card instead of a check. This has caused people thinking that its a scam because they think the government would never send it this way. Now the people who think it's a scam are throwing it away even though it is their stimulus. The reason why the stimulus is being sent a prepaid debit card is because the IRS needed to speed up the process and have them delivered to american as soon as possible. If you did throw away the debit card that had your $600 in it, then you should contact the IRS for a replacement. Though $600 is not even enough to help Americans, the amount is enough for food but not rent or house expenses.

What Is Earntub?

I found Earntub on a list of websites that are scams, I searched it up and found out it was a website to make money from watching videos. I searched website on making money from watching videos, this never showed up. It's a small white website that shows 5 YouTube videos and how much you can make from them. When you look at what you're supposed to do, it seems pretty easy. As you all know that websites that makes things simple for you to make money are usually bogus.

I signed up for an account and had to complete the CAPTCHA puzzle, then i automatically had $5. I watched an Ikea video and earned $0.61, watched an Air Mavic 2 video and earned $0.32, and then I watched another Ikea video about these objects criticizing a room and earned $0.47. What I found strange was that I didn't need to finish the finished to earn the cents. There are 5 payment options and a text box to put a withdraw amount. From looking at this page, I started to see something off.

I searched the website on google to find reviews and videos of other people's views. I went on Trustpilot and read so many negative reviews of people who were deceived by Earntub. A lot of people said their account was blocked after they reached $75. It seems like this website was created to waste people's time thinking they are going to easily make money by watching Youtube videos. There seems to be no way to close an account, which is another red flag. Taking money off people is bad, and tricking people to complete tasks then block their account to waste their time is just as bad.

This website just be renamed to Scamtub and removed from the internet.

The Bankruptcy of J. Crew

 J. Crew is an American multi-brand retailer that was founded in 1947 by Mitchell Cinader and Saul Charles. The first name of the retailer was Popular Merchandise, Inc., it was changed to J. Crew in 1983. J. Crew is know for selling clothing, shoes, accessories, and jewelry. Despite J. Crew being an American company, there are locations in Canada, France, the UK, Hong Kong, and Japan. Like many stores, J. Crew started to have some financial issues. In The fourth quarter of 2019, J.Crew reported a net income of $1.5 million. A net loss of $74.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2018 was also reported. Some stores in Canada quietly closed down in 2019. If losing income wasn't bad enough, 2020 brings another challenge for J. Crew. When the COVID-19 pandemic was full-blown, J. Crew had to Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. They were approved to exit the Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August 2020. All six of J.Crew's UK locations had to permanently close in September 2020. Any stores or chains that had financial issues before the outbreak had no choice but to go this lane.

What Is FunDailyPay.com?

A small website named FunDailyPay (also known as EzGoodPay) has been mentioned frequently on Youtube comments of video that are related to making money online. These people claim that this website helped change their lives. These comments do look suspicious as they seem to be all the same. What these people are actually doing are copying the text from the website and pasting it on 5 Youtube videos.

Comment Example:

[ I can finally enjoy life with the help of, e z g o o d p  a  y .c o m ]

When you visit that website, they tell you how many spots are an available in your country. They tell you to copy the text and paste it on to 5 Youtube videos then press step 2 to watch a video. Pressing step 2 will take you to a website named jensincometeam.com which displays one of those testimonial videos with a countdown at the bottom of the page. If you stay on FunDailyPay for one minute you will be redirected to a Youtube video. They claim to have comment detectors that detect if you made the comment, it's unclear if that's true. They claim that the website was seen on 5 american news networks that make it look convincing.

The website makes it seem so easy to make over $100 just by following 2 steps. When you search the website on Google, you will find a bunch of short testimonials with people saying that their lives improved. These testimonials are actually fake because they were taken from others videos. The people on the videos aren't talking about FunDailyPay. These videos are made so people who don't pay enough attention are convinced that you can make money.

I was able to find two videos where someone actually reviews that website. They also noticed the spamming Youtube comments that has false claims. Jason Foster points out that people are paid to comment that the website actually works. This website was designed to make it seem extremely easy to make money by posting Youtube comments to attract other people to do the same. They take an advantage of people who don't have any online money making experience or have not been deceived online.

Of course many of us want to make money easily but this is not the way to do it.  This website could either disappear in the future or being renamed and still display the same instructions. If you receive this comments on your Youtube videos, please remove them so other people don't waste their time doing the same thing.
